PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard returned the Sector Hampton Roads Captain ofthe Port (COTP) Zone to Port Condition Seasonal Alert Sunday morning and the ports are open to all vessel traffic.
The updated port condition was set at 9:24 a.m. All mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting restricted waters due to possible shoaling and navigational aids possibly being off station or unreliable.
Vessel or facility operators should notify Sector Hampton Roads of any issues that may prevent or limit hurricane preparedness and identify items of potential concern that cannot be mitigated within 72 hours.
