WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard suspended its search Wednesday for a 58-year-old man last seen swimming at Wrightsville Beach Tuesday.
The search for Charles Kuebler of Wilmington was suspended at approximately 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The search for Kuebler included Coast Guard 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crews from Station Wrightsville Beach, the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Nantucket, MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crews from Air Station Elizabeth City, as well as crews from Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue. Searches covered approximately 183 square miles and totaled about 37 hours.
