BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard is scheduled to establish a temporary regulated area Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in designated waters of the Patapsco River for the Baltimore Air Show during Fleet Week. The regulated area will be in effect each day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., which will limit or prohibit navigation by commercial and recreational waterway users. HATTERAS, N.C. — The Coast Guard medevaced a man Tuesday off a fishing vessel in the Pamlico Sound near Hatteras. NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a man from a charter vessel approximately 20 miles south of Destin, Florida, Tuesday. Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at 10:48 a.m. from the charter vessel, Destin Princess, of an 88-year-old male passenger experiencing stroke-like symptoms. Coast Guard Station Destin launched a Response Boat-Medium crew with local emergency medical technicians aboard. NEW ORLEANS – Clean-up operations for the 100-gallon diesel fuel spill in the Missouri River at mile marker 360, near Kansas City, Missouri, have been completed, Tuesday. The towing vessel Dakota reportedly released 100 gallons of diesel due to a fuel tank rupture, Monday. The towing vessel Dakota and Terminal Petroleum, an oil spill removal organization, removed a total of 3,000 gallons of oily-water mixture.  There is no expected impact to the environment. NEW ORLEANS— The Coast Guard is responding to a report of a 100-gallon diesel-fuel spill in the Missouri River near Kansas City, Missouri, that occurred Monday evening. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Upper Mississippi River received a report around 9:26 p.m. that a towing vessel reportedly discharged 100 gallons of diesel into the Missouri River near mile marker 360 due to a fuel tank rupture.  The vessel has secured the discharge of fuel.... LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 39-year-old male near Prisoners Harbor, Santa Cruz Island. The Coast Guard Cutter Halibut was flagged down by a National Park Service Ranger in a row boat at approximately 7 p.m., Sunday. The park ranger reported that a man on land was suffering from a 4.5 inch gash in his leg after rolling a all-terrain vehicle and needed immediate medical attention. WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard rescued eight people from rooftops Sunday in Pinetops.  Fifth District watchstanders received a report at approximately 9 a.m. from Edgecombe Fire Department personnel that eight people were stranded on top of roofs in Pinetops due to high water and needed evacuation.
