MIAMI — The U.S. Coast Guard located four boaters Wednesday 40 miles northwest of Key West.
Rescued were David Thompson, 48, Adam Kelley, 28, Joshua Thompson, 15, and Evan Thompson, 11.

CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. — Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station Chincoteague helped enforced the safety zone Wednesday at the 91st annual Pony Swim between Assateague and Chincoteague islands off Virginia's Eastern Shore.Thousands of spectators gathered for the event both on shore and on the water.

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard is searching for a person in the water near Navarre Beach, Florida, Wednesday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday that Jay Wiley Evans, a 64-year-old Caucasian male, had not returned from his daily swim off of Navarre Beach.

Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak aircrews, along with good Samaritans, rescue 46 crew members from life rafts after they abandoned ship approximately 690 miles west of Dutch Harbor, Alaska, July 26, 2016.
The 220-foot fishing vessel Alaska Juris began taking on water near Kiska Island.
All 46 crew members were transferred to good Samaritan vessels Spar Canis and Vienna Express to be transported to Adak, Alaska.

HOUSTON — The Gulf Intracoastal Waterway is opened to all traffic near Galveston after a sunken barge east of the Galveston Causeway railroad bridge was refloated Tuesday evening.
The tugboat Brown Water VIII towed the dredge barge to the Kodiak scrap yard in Dickinson for salvage at about 4:40 p.m.

SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard assisted three boaters after their vessel began taking on water 12 miles southwest of Point Loma, Tuesday.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector San Diego's Joint Harbor Operations Center received a notification from a 26-foot pleasure craft reporting that there were three persons on board and the vessel was taking on water.
