LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard together with members of Ventura County Air Squad 9 rescued two divers off the west side of Anacapa Island Saturday at 10:55 a.m. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach received a call from the 85-foot commercial dive vessel, Spectre at 10 a.m., stating that a 40-year-old female was unresponsive and foaming at the mouth after coming up from a dive. BOSTON — Coast Guard and Eastham authorities are searching for a missing person in the water in Eastham Friday. Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England was notified by Eastham Police Department at approximately 8:30 a.m. about the missing person in the water, and they requested assistance in the search. Coast Guard Station Provincetown launched a 29-foot response boat crew and Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod launched a MH-60 Jayhawk air crew and diverted a HC-144 air crew to help search.... WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard saved four people Thursday after their vessel started taking on water about nine miles off Hatteras Inlet.Watchstanders at the Sector North Carolina Command Center in Wilmington received a call for assistance at 3:17 p.m. from the 42-foot sport fishing vessel Matador reporting that it was taking on water southeast of Hatteras Inlet.Sector watchstanders issued an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast (UMIB) and launched a 29-foot Response Boat-Small (RBS) crew and a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Hatteras Inlet.... NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, Vermilion and Iberia Parish Sheriff Offices have completed their search for the missing boater, identified as Earnest Hebert, 76, in Vermilion Bay, Thursday. Search crews located the body at 4:45 p.m. Hebert was last seen at about 9:30 a.m., Thursday, boating in Vermilion Bay with another persone before the vessel capsized.
