Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach received notification from a boater aboard a 15-foot skiff near China Point, stating that a rogue wave had caused both passengers to fall into the water.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — William Durden, from Reno, Nevada, was located about 15 nautical miles southeast of Aripeka, Florida by the Coast Guard, Thursday.
The 61-year-old man was reported overdue by his wife at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday after leaving their summer residence on the Homosassa River at 10:30 a.m. aboard a 22-foot boat. SAULT STE MARIE, Mich. — The U.S. Coast Guard continues to monitor and respond to the motor vessel Roger Blough, Wednesday, after the vessel ran aground Friday afternoon on Gros Cap Reef in Whitefish Bay in Lake Superior.
Plans continue to progress to safely free the Blough from Gros Cap Reef through the combined efforts of Canadian partners, company representatives and the U.S. Coast Guard.

MIAMI - The Coast Guard repatriated 153 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Wednesday.
The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Kathleen Moore repatriated 78 Cuban migrants and the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Raymond Evans repatriated 75 Cuban migrants.
These repatriations are a result of eight separate migrant interdictions at sea within the last week in the south Florida Straits. In each instance, the Coast Guard helped secure the U.S. border and prevented these perilous sea voyages from ending in tragedy.... [Read More]

HONOLULU — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 48-year-old man experiencing difficulty breathing while aboard the Lahaina Princess, near Molokini Crater, Maui, Tuesday.
A Station Maui 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew safely transported the man to Maalaea Pier where they were met by EMS who administered oxygen.
