A fisherman on the 38-foot fishing vessel Norn makes a mayday call to Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound, reporting the vessel was taking on water 38-miles off La Push, Wash., Dec. 17, 2015. A 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Coast Guard Station Quillayute River and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles responded, rescuing all three crewmembers and recovering their life raft. MEMPHIS – The Coast Guard and local agencies continue response efforts to a sunken tow vessel on the Lower Mississippi River near Memphis, Wednesday.  A Unified Command has been established consisting of U.S Coast Guard, Western Rivers Boat Management and Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. An overflight Tuesday revealed a dark sheen extending outside of deployed boom. The sheen is approximately half a mile long and begins at the site of the William Strait. WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard hoisted a man Tuesday after his sailboat became disabled off Cape Lookout. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector North Carolina received a call from a man aboard the 40-foot sailboat Sassafras stating he’d lost his sea anchor and needed assistance at approximately 4:30 a.m. The Coast Guard was able to hear the man over the radio, but the man was unable to hear the Coast Guard’s responses....
