HOUSTON — The Coast Guard, Galveston County Sherrif's Dept. and Crystal Beach Fire Dept. are searching for a man near mile marker 338 in the Intracoastal Waterway, near Crystal Beach, Texas. Missing is Terry Millender of Crystal Beach. The Coast Guard recieved a report from Galveston County Sherrifs Dept. that a 19-foot skiff had been seen steering in circles with no one aboard. Once the boat beached itself, further investigation revealed there were crabpots, some containing live crabs in the boat.... HOUSTON — The Coast Guard and other agencies are responding to a fire aboard a liquid gas carrier that occurred around 9:45 a.m. Monday, which caused the closure of about 2 miles of the upper ship channel from Houston Ship Channel light 164 to light 151 (near Greensport Dock West). SAN FRANCISCO -- Late Friday evening, 12 containers were washed overboard of the motor vessel Manoa in heavy weather and seas. The containers were empty with the exception of miscellaneous packing material. No hazardous materials were within the containers and no adverse impacts to the marine environment have been reported at this time. The responsible party has hired an environmental contractor to recover discharged debris and containers. CLEVELAND — The Coast Guard assisted three people Saturday afternoon after three flares were sighted from shore near Hamburg, New York. The names of those rescued are not being released and there are no photos or video available for this case. BOSTON — The Coast Guard is seeking the public’s help in identifying a possible missing paddle boarder near Rye Beach, New Hampshire, Saturday. At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Coast Guard Sector Northern New England watchstanders were contacted by a person on Rye Beach who reported they thought they saw a paddle boarder wearing dark clothing and waving their hands in distress. SAN FRANCISCO - The Coast Guard is urging boaters and beach goers to exercise caution in and around the waters of San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay due to strong swells causing increased rip current conditions and coastal flooding.A high surf warning is now in effect until later this afternoon along the San Francisco peninsula coastline. MIAMI —The Coast Guard is responding a report of a Bahamian man who was bitten by a shark 67 nautical miles southwest of Andros Island, Bahamas.
