LOS ANGELES — At 3:25 p.m., Sunday, the Coast Guard ended the search for a missing boater near Point Arguello after locating the man deceased 50 yards from the Vandenberg boat ramp. At about 8 p.m., Saturday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles/Long Beach operations center, received a report of three people in the water after their 14-foot aluminum boat capsized 100 yards south east of Point Arguello. LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 19-year-old man from a 65-foot sport-fishing vessel approximately one mile north of Santa Cruz Island, Saturday. At 13:48 p.m., Saturday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles/Long Beach command center received a report that a male boater aboard the sport-fishing vessel, Amigo, slipped, fell and had a three inch gash in his head. MIAMI — The Coast Guard suspended its search efforts, Saturday, for a missing 24-year-old mother who went overboard during a cruise 22 nautical miles off the coast of Cuba.The search was suspended at 11 a.m., Saturday, after Coast Guard crews covered 1,378 square nautical miles looking for Kaylyn Rose Sommer, a 24-year-old mother and Charleston resident.“Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones affected by this terrible tragedy,” said Capt. PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard rescued two people Friday from a sinking vessel in Great Egg Harbor east of Somers Point, New Jersey. Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders received a call from 911 dispatchers at approximately 11:30 a.m. that a 16-foot recreational boat was taking on water with two people aboard. BOSTON — The Coast Guard partnered with a good Samaritan Friday to help 24 people aboard a 56-foot disabled passenger ferry east of Littlejohn Island, Maine. ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Coast Guard, Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, and Frosty Fuel LLC stood down a unified command response to a diesel spill in Cold Bay, Tuesday. The unified command was established Friday in response to a diesel spill at the Frosty Fuel Facility. Frosty Fuel personnel reported a diesel spill from a transfer line and the source of the discharge was secured following the report of the incident.
