Coast Guard Air Station Miami to host local schools during annual open house

MIAMI — Coast Guard Air Station Miami invites media to participate in their annual open house Friday.

WHO: Coast Guard Air Station Miami will be hosting more than 1,500 students from surrounding Miami-Dade and Broward County elementary, middle and high schools.

WHAT: Students will learn about Coast Guard and local law enforcement.  They will have the opportunity to see military and law enforcement aircrafts, Coast Guard boat displays and Coast Guard tactical law enforcement officers.

WHERE: Coast Guard Air Station Miami, 14750 NW 44th Ct., Opa Locka, FL 33054.

WHEN: Media wanting to be there during the kindergarten thru 6th grade presentation should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. Media wanting to be there during the 7th thru12th grade presentation should arrive no later than 12:15 p.m.
