BOSTON — Coast Guard and Eastham authorities are searching for a missing person in the water in Eastham Friday.
Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England was notified by Eastham Police Department at approximately 8:30 a.m. about the missing person in the water, and they requested assistance in the search.
Coast Guard Station Provincetown launched a 29-foot response boat crew and Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod launched a MH-60 Jayhawk air crew and diverted a HC-144 air crew to help search.
The following are searching all of Wellfleet Harbor and Billingsgate Shoal areas:
- Wellfleet Harbormaster
- Eastham Fire Department
- Orleans Fire Department
- Wellfleet Fire Department
- Four good Samaritans
