Coast Guard Conducts waterways analysis of Admiralty Inlet, seeks public comment

April 29, 2016

SEATTLE — Coast Guard officials are seeking public comment while conducting a waterways analysis and management system review of Admiralty Inlet.

Officials are seeking information from local mariners regarding the general use of the waterways and any issues with the visibility, placement or location of aids to navigation in that area before the comment deadline of July 31, 2016.

The WAMS includes Admiralty Bay, Port Townsend, Kilisut Harbor, Oak Harbor, Mutiny Bay, Useless Bay, Port Ludlow and Skunk Bay. The study focuses on the area’s aids to navigation system, waterborne commerce, marine casualty information, port/harbor resources, emergency response plans, routine and emergency communication capabilities and future development projects.
