Coast Guard extends Port of Virginia restriction to Sunday

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Captain of the Port (COTP) Hampton Roads set Port Condition Yankee Friday for the Port of Virginia in preparation for the weather impacts of Tropical Storm Hermine.The Port of Virginia was closed to all inbound and outbound vessels at the entrance to the the Chesapeake Bay at 6 a.m. Saturday and was originally set to open at 11:59 p.m. Saturday. That restriction has been extended until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
