Coast Guard lifts port condition WHISKEY in Canaveral, Fernandina and Jacksonville ports

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Effective at 5 p.m., Saturday, Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Capt. Jeffrey Dixon, lifted port condition WHISKEY for the ports of Canaveral, Fernandina and Jacksonville due to Tropical Storm Erika dissipating.

All port facilities in Northeast Florida may resume normal operations, including waterfront facility and vessel transits, subject to prudent seamanship and safe working practices. 

All mariners are reminded that remnants of the storm can cause dangerous conditions at sea. All boaters should monitor weather forecasts before taking to the sea.
