MIAMI — The Coast Guard is searching for a man Friday approximately 500 yards north of Belle Island in Miami Beach.
Missing is Tyron Robertson, 22.
Robertson was on a 17-foot rental boat when he reportedly entered the water and failed to resurface. His girlfriend who was on the boat reported Robertson missing after they were unable to locate him.
A 33-foot rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Miami and rescue crews from Miami Beach Police Department, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department and City of Miami Fire Department initiated search efforts.
The public is encouraged to remain vigilant while in the area.
