Coast Guard, local responders searching for man near Port Orford, Ore.

SEATTLE — Coast Guard crews and local responders are searching for a missing man near Paradise Point in Port Orford, Oregon, Sunday.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station North Bend, Oregon, a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Chetco River in Brookings, Oregon, as well as members of the Coos County Sheriff's Office and other local law enforcement are involved in the search.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector North Bend received a call from Curry County 911 operators around 1:45 p.m. stating three people were in the water after their 24-foot pleasure craft capsized. It was further reported that two of the boaters made it to shore safely. One boater remains missing.

The missing man was last seen about 75 yards off of Paradise Point and reportedly was not wearing a life jacket.

"Our crews both in the air and on the water are coordinating with local law enforcement personnel to help ensure a thorough seach of the area in hopes of finding the individual and reuniting him with his friends and loved ones," said Petty Officer 2nd Class Brandon Kuechenberg, a search and rescue coordinator at Sector North Bend.

Weather reported on scene consists of  visibility of 10 miles, 6-foot seas and calm winds with an air temperature of 62 degrees Fahrenheit and a water temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit
