WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard medevaced an injured 19-year-old man Wednesday from a fishing vessel one mile off Fort Macon.Sector North Carolina watchstanders received a report at 2:20 p.m. that a crewmember aboard the 80-foot fishing vessel Tamara Alane suffered injuries to his arm, leg and head.At 2:50 p.m., a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat (MLB) boat crew and a 29-foot Response Boat-Small boat crew launched from Station Fort Macon to medevac the injured man. The crews arrived on scene at 3:14 p.m. and transferred the man to the MLB.The MLB crew arrived at Station Fort Macon at 3:50 p.m., and the man was transferred to awaiting EMS personnel in stable condition.
