Coast Guard to present award to local Connecticut heroes

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Coast Guard is scheduled to present a Public Service Award and a Certificate of Merit to the Captain and crewmembers of the Lucky Lady at the Riverside Basin Marina, Thursday.

The crew will be recognized for their heroic efforts in the pursuit and recovery of an out-of-control vessel on June 6, 2015, securing the safety of lives, property and the environment on the waterway.

The Lucky Lady is a charter fishing vessel, homeported in Clinton.
