BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard responded to a sailboat taking on water Tuesday at the mouth of the South River.
Coast Guard Sector Baltimore watchstanders received a report from a crewmember aboard a 44-foot sailboat via VHF-FM channel 16 at approximately 7 p.m. stating the sailboat was taking on water.
A crew aboard a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium from Coast Guard Station Annapolis was in the area and diverted to respond.
Once on scene two Coast Guard crewmembers boarded the sailboat, bringing with them a pump to assist in the de-watering efforts.
The remaining Coast Guard members aboard the RBM escorted the sailboat to Selby Bay Yacht Basin, where it is now moored.
No injuries were reported.
