LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard is searching for a missing diver near Isthmus Cove.
At about 12 p.m., Tuesday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles/Long Beach operations center, received a report from the 48-foot vessel, Sundiver Express, of a missing female diver near Ship Rock.
The Coast Guard immediately launched a 45-foot patrol boat from Coast Guard Station Los Angeles, a HH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Los Angeles, and Coast Guard Cutter Narwhal, homeported in Newport Beach, along with surface assets, divers and a helicopter crew from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to search for the missing woman.
The woman was reported to be an experienced diver. She was also reported to be wearing a black suit with a white tank, blonde hair and around the age of 45.
