Coast Guard seeks public comment on proposed work to Steamboat Slough Bridge near Everett, Wash.

SEATTLE — The Coast Guard is seeking public comment on a request for proposed work to the Steamboat Slough Bridge near Everett, Wash.

The commander, Coast Guard 13th District, has received an application from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company requesting approval of the location and plans for modification of the bridge. The proposed project consists of removing the bridge’s existing, structurally deficient, creosote-treated timber piles  and deck south approach and replacing it with a new approach comprised of a pre-stressed concrete double cell box girder and 24-inch steel piles.

Parties wishing to make comments concerning the proposed project or seeking further information regarding the same should contact Commander (dpw), Thirteenth Coast Guard District, Bridge Administrator, Rm 3510, 915 Second Avenue, Seattle, WA 98174-1067. Such request should be mailed to arrive on or before May 25.
