Imagery Release: Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team trains in Boston Harbor

BOSTON — Members of the Coast Guard's Maritime Safety and Security Team conducted training Tuesday aboard 25-foot response boats in Boston Harbor.

The MSST, based in Boston, periodically conducts tactical training in order to maintain their unique skills and capabilities.

“Tactical training prepares our crews to be able to effectively enforce security zones,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class Geoffrey Hills, a coxswain with the MSST. “It prepares the crews for various tactical maneuvers and for communicating with the public.”
