WHO: Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region, Coast Guard Station AnnapolisWHAT: Labor Day Boating Safety EventWHERE: Coast Guard Station Annapolis: 3425 Thomas Point Road, Annapolis, MD., 21403.WHEN: 9 a.m., Friday.BALTIMORE – Coast Guard Sector Maryland, National Capital Region will hold a safety event at Coast Guard Station Annapolis at 9 a.m., Friday.Personnel from Sector M-NCR and Station Annapolis will be on hand for interviews focusing on boating safety topics such as weather awareness, maintaining situational awareness and having the proper boating safety gear.Media will also be afforded an opportunity to tour two of the Coast Guard's newest rescue vessels: the 29-foot Response Boat-Small and 45-foot Response Boat-Medium."Regardless of your level of boating experience, this event is worthy of your time to discuss safe boating practices" said Capt. Lonnie P. Harrison, commander, Sector Maryland-National Capital Region.
