PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Philadelphia Police Department and partner agencies will hold a safety event at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay at 11 a.m., Thursday.
Representatives from the different agencies will discuss safety issues for both boating and driving throughout Labor Day Weekend.
Members of the Coast Guard will demonstrate signaling devices, such as smoke flares and pencil flares, which boaters can use to signal rescuers in the event of an emergency.
