BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Two boaters are missing after their vessel capsized off the coast of Brunswick, Wednesday.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Charleston command center received the initial report at approximately 7:15 p.m., from Georgia Department of Natural Resources stating that a boat carrying four men had capsized in the Brunswick River. One of the four men was rescued by Georgia DNR and another was recovered and determined to be deceased by local EMS.
The Coast Guard has launched crews aboard a 29-foot Response Boat – Small from Station Brunswick and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Savannah to assist.
