BALTIMORE — A Unified Command was established Thursday in response to oil sheens found on the Potomac River near Arlington, Virginia, Wednesday.
Responding agencies include:
- U.S. Coast Guard
- Virginia Department of Environmental Quality
- Department of Energy and Environment
- Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research
The Coast Guard is the Federal On-Scene Coordinator overseeing the Unified Command’s response.
If impacted wildlife or oil is spotted, contact The Office of Unified Communications by dialing 311.
