MIAMI — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching Thursday for a boater after the boater failed to arrive in South Bimini, Bahamas, on a trip from Hallandale Beach.
Missing is Venice Graham, 53, of Hallandale Beach.
Graham left Hallandale Beach around 8 p.m. Wednesday in a white, 23-foot Hydra-Sport, Florida tag 7077GE, to transit to South Bimini. He was scheduled to arrive by midnight. Graham failed to arrive, and a friend contacted watchstanders at Coast Guard District 7 at about 9 a.m. Thursday to report Graham overdue.
An HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew from Air Station Miami is searching.
Boaters are encouraged to remain vigilant while in the area and to render aid and assistance if necessary. Anyone with information on Graham's location is encouraged to contact the U.S. Coast Guard at 305-415-6800.
