CORTEZ, Fla. — Three people were rescued by a Coast Guard crew in the vicinity of Long Boat Pass after their 19-foot boat began taking on water, Monday.

Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, Florida, watchstanders received a 911 transfer from a good Samaritan on scene at approximately 7:15 p.m., reporting the vessel was aground and was over turned. He also reported all three people donned life jackets once the vessel began taking on water.
