CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Coast Guard crews, along with Corpus Christi police and fire department responders, are searching for a missing 16-year-old male who was last seen in the water near Bob Hall Pier, Friday morning.
The individual missing was last seen in the water near the end of Bob Hall Pier, wearing black and red shorts. He was not wearing a shirt or a life jacket.
At 10:50 a.m., Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders received a call from the Corpus Christi Police Department stating five individuals were in the water and four made it back to the shore. Sector Corpus Christi issued an urgent marine information broadcast over VHF-FM channel 16, launched a MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter from Air Station Corpus Christi, and a 45-foot rescue boat from Station Port Aransas.
