SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard rescued three boaters after their vessel overturned in San Diego Bay, Wednesday.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector San Diego received a report of an overturned 20-foot catamaran east of Point Loma, with three people in the water.
A Coast Guard Station San Diego 33-foot Special Purpose Craft-Law Enforcement crew was immediately diverted and safely rescued all three boaters.
There were no injuries.
The owner coordinated for commercial salvage of the catamaran back to Shelter Island Marina. There was no reported pollution.
