SAN PEDRO, Calif. - The Coast Guard is searching for 57-year-old male kayaker, Ronald Webber, of Solvang, Calif., after he was reported missing Friday.
The individual was onboard a 10-foot sit-on-top yellow kayak on Friday morning departing at approximately 1130 a.m. from Gaviota State Beach, Calif.
The Coast Guard currently has a HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Los Angeles, a Coast Guard Response Boat crew from Station Channel Islands, and an 87 ft patrol boat, Coast Guard Cutter HALIBUT, searching for the individual. The Coast Guard is coordinating with Santa Barbara County Sheriffs, California State Park Rangers and the Gaviota Lifeguard Station.
