Coast Guard searching for two missing boaters between Charlotte Harbor and Carrabelle, Fla.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Coast Guard is searching for two missing boaters reported to be on a 39-foot boat between Charlotte Harbor and Carrabelle, Florida, Monday.

Missing are Michael Forehand who is in his late 30’s and Lisa Harris, 48, from Carrabelle. 

At 11:21 a.m. watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Alabama, received a call from Laurie Roberts, a friend of Harris, stating Forehand and Harris were expected to arrive in Carrabelle by sunset, Sunday. In addition, she stated Harris had not shown up for work at 9 a.m. Monday.

Roberts stated Harris and Forehand left their vehicle at her house in Carrabelle, drove a rental car to Charlotte Harbor, and departed Saturday on a 39-foot Sea Ray.  

Cell phone pings from Forehand and Harris last located the boaters approximately 10 miles west of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, on Saturday. 

A C-130 Hercules aircraft crew from Air Station Clearwater, Florida, and the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Hawk, home ported in St. Petersburg, are searching for the boaters.
