BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard suspended its search for the missing boater in the upper Potomac River near Mount Vernon, Virginia, at noon today.
Participating in the search was the Coast Guard, Charles County, Maryland, Fire Department; Alexandria, Virginia, Fire Department; Prince George's County, Maryland, Fire Department; Maryland Natural Resources Police; Fairfax County, Virginia, Fire Department; and the National Park Service.
Search and rescue crews covered approximately 11 square nautical miles since the multi-agency search began at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday.
