Boston — A local Coast Guard crew will pay a visit to 125 kindergarten students Thursday to teach boating safety at the Garfield Elementary School in Revere, Massachusetts.
WHO: Coast Guard search and rescue experts
WHAT: Boating safety lessons and demonstrations for kindergarteners. A helicopter pilot and rescue swimmer will have aviation and rescue gear, and other hands-on materials and visuals will be available.
WHEN: Thursday, June 11, 2015. The program begins at 12 p.m. (setup starts at 11:30 a.m.)
WHERE: Garfield Elementary School, 176 Garfield Avenue, Revere, Massachusetts, 02151.
There will be parking available for media members. Media members will be escorted by a representative from the school, or a Coast Guard member, into Garfield Elementary School and taken to the event location. Interviews with Coast Guard members and Garfield Elementary School students and staff will be available.
