HONOLULU — The Coast Guard located the 57-year-old missing male free diver near Punalu'u, Hawai'i, Thursday.
At 4:35 p.m., an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point located the man floating approximately 600 yards offshore of Punalu'u.
At jet ski crew from the Hawaii County Fire Department was vectored in and found the man unresponsive.
The man was taken back to shore where local emergency medical services personnel were waiting.
