Cottrell participated as the Coast Guard representative during a plaque presentation honoring the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

They were joined by representatives from the American Legion, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Marine Corps, the Navy, the Navy League, the Reserve Officers Association and USO Northwest along the first base line, and the Washington State Guard, the Washington Air National Guard, the Washington Army National Guard, the Army, the air Force Reserve, the Veterans of Foreign Wars posts 2995 and 6785, the Disabled American Veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Siglin, along with three other Coast Guard members, represented the branch during the ceremony's base line introductions.

Each service member, including Staff Sgt. Grieco who wasn't pictured, were selected to throw the first pitch for their respective branch due to their distinguished work, with Baker recently awarded the title of Coast Guard 13th District Enlisted Person of the Year for her work throughout 2015.
