BOSTON — An operations specialist at the 1st Coast Guard District command center in Boston was promoted to the rank of chief petty officer in a ceremony held at Fenway Park in Boston on Thursday.
Chief Petty Officer Christopher Wandell is a third generation chief petty officer. During the ceremony his father, a retired Navy chief petty officer, pinned him with his grandfather's collar devices.
