South Jersey unit's rescue of 800-pound turtle nominated for Coast Guard's best video

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Rescue footage of the Coast Guard saving an 800-pound leatherback turtle off Cape May is in the running Monday for the Coast Guard's Video of the Year contest, which ends Jan. 4.

Viewers can vote for their favorite videos by liking them on Facebook or YouTube, via retweet and favorite on Twitter, or by commenting on the video's blog post.

The winning video is scheduled to be announced Jan. 5 on the Coast Guard’s official Facebook page.
