HOUSTON — Coast Guard crews continue to search for a fisherman in the Houston Ship Channel near Eagle Point, Saturday.

Missing is Ba Van Nguyen, 49-years-old.

"We've saturated the area and have covered 272 square miles with the help of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and a good Samaritan covering the shoreline," said Petty Officer 1st Class Belinda Blackman, a Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston search and rescue watchstander.

A Coast Guard Station Houston boatcrew discovered Nguyen's personal belongs on the boat when they arrived on scene. The boatcrew was able to recover the fishing nets, which were deployed in the water. Both nets were found empty. ,
