U.S. Coast Guard Academy to hold Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols

NEW LONDON, Conn. — The U.S. Coast Guard Academy will hold its annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols Dec. 10 at the Academy Memorial Chapel. The service, which starts at 6:45 p.m., is the Academy’s kickoff for the holiday season. The service is free and open to the public.

The U.S. Coast Guard Band Brass Ensemble and the Cadet Handbell Choir will be performing prelude music at 6:45 p.m. The service will begin at 7 p.m. featuring the Cadet Glee Club and Cadet Handbell Choir. 

Immediately following the service will be the lighting of the Academy Christmas Tree. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy is located at 31 Mohegan Ave., New London, Conn., 06320.
