ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City aircrew reunited with Damian Sexton and his family at Coast Guard Station Atlantic City.
Sexton was medevaced by the aircrew Sunday from the 39-foot recreational vessel, the Sea Robin, approximately 44 miles east of Cape May.
"I thought there was no chance in the world that I was going to come out alive," said Sexton. "It seems like everything came together and it's all because of you guys."
During the reunion, Sexton and his family took a boat ride on a 47' Motor Lifeboat from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City.
The four crewmembers from the air station who performed the rescue are Lt. Tammy Whalen, pilot, Lt. Jordan Kellam, co-pilot, Petty Officer 2rd Class James Hockenberry, flight mechanic and Petty Officer 3rd Class Chris Lynch, rescue swimmer.
