The patient was hoisted from the boat to the helicopter in a rescue basket at about 11 p.m., and flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, arriving at about 12:29 a.m."Sector North Carolina is very pleased with the actions of the crew from Air Station Elizabeth City," said Chief Warrant Officer Keith Moore, command duty officer in the sector command center Sunday. "Despite the many challenges associated with hoisting at night, they were able to safely remove the captain and deliver him to the hospital to receive the medical attention he needed."For breaking news, follow the 5th District on Twitter @USCGMidAtlantic.
