UPDATE: Coast Guard reopens Tampa port

February 25, 2015

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — In coordination with local pilot organizations, the Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Tampa has reopened the port, Wednesday.

At approximately 2 p.m., the Port of Tampa was reopened when recent fog conditions receded, allowing enough visibility for incoming and departing ships to transit safely.
