HOUSTON — Kemah, Seabrook, Nassau Bay authorities and Coast Guard crews are searching for a missing 5-year-old girl near Kemah Boardwalk Wednesday night.
The girl is described as having blonde, shoulder length hair and wearing a red and white shirt.
At approximately 5 p.m., the father reported her missing near the edge of the pier. Responders from several local agencies are currently searching. ... [Read More]

HOUSTON — A Coast Guard boatcrew medevaced a 46-year-old man from an oil tanker in the Galveston Fairway Anchorage Wednesday evening.
At approximately 3 p.m., Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a phone call from the captain of the 580-foot Jupiter Ace stating that a crewmember was coughing blood for unknown reasons.
Watchstanders launched a boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Galveston aboard a 45-foot response boat along with two local paramedics. The boatcrew and a paramedic moved the man from the taker onto the response boat.... [Read More]

The motor vessel Juno, a 621-foot bulk carrier, sits aground under Thousand Islands Bridge near Alexandria Bay, N.Y., April 20, 2015.
The vessel ran hard aground after suffering a steering casualty, and at this time there is no pollution reported.

JUNEAU, Alaska — A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew rescued three mariners after a fire started on board their 82-foot vessel north of Kodiak Island Tuesday.

SEATTLE — A Coast Guard helicopter crew conducting a training flight over Clallam County Airport in Port Angeles reportedly suffered a laser strike from an unknown ground source Monday night.

HONOLULU — Three boaters are safe after their 15-foot recreational vessel capsized approximately one mile north of Turtle Bay, Oahu.
At approximately 10:29 a.m. watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Honolulu received a mayday call via VHF Channel 16 from three men stating their vessel had capsized due to a rogue wave and that they were in need of immediate assistance.... [Read More]
