BOSTON — Coast Guard Cutter Grand Isle is scheduled to be open to the public for free tours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Rowes Wharf in Boston.

WASHINGTON — The Federal Register Monday published a notice of proposed rulemaking by the U.S. Coast Guard to implement section 811 of the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2010 (Pub. L. 111-281).
This proposed rule would provide clear regulatory requirements for each facility owner or operator to provide seafarers associated with a vessel moored at the facility, and other individuals, access between the vessel and facility gate without unreasonable delay, and at no cost to the seafarer or other individual.... ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Rescue footage of the Coast Guard saving an 800-pound leatherback turtle off Cape May is in the running Monday for the Coast Guard's Video of the Year contest, which ends Jan. 4.

NEW YORK - Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook medically evacuated a 51-year-old man from a vessel approximately eight-miles offshore east of Sandy Hook, N.J., this morning.
Watchstanders at Sector New York received a call at approximately 9:57 a.m., reporting that a passenger was experiencing pressure in their chest and shortness of breath.

BOSTON — Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma returned Sunday to their homeport of Kittery, Maine after a 55-day patrol conducting operations and training in the Gulf of Maine and Georges Bank.

HONOLULU — The Coast Guard is searching for the master of a freight ship reported overboard approximately 60 miles east of Wake Island Sunday.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Joint Rescue Coordination Center were notified at approximately 6 p.m. Saturday, regarding a 49-year-old male Polish national who was reported overboard from the 622-foot freight ship Toscana.
