The Singapore Registry of Ships (SRS) crossed the 96 million gross tonnage milestone in 2020, maintaining its position among the top five ship registries in the world.

Swiss container shipping giant Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has dived into the secondhand market, acquiring six Post-Panamax units.
On 30 October 2020, MSC purchased the ship sextet that is technically managed by Germany-based shipping company Zeaborn GmbH.

Taiwanese shipping company Wisdom Marine Lines has decided to expand its fleet with a new liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carrier.
On 30 October 2020, the company’s board of directors approved the order of a 5,000 cbm vessel.
As informed, the LPG carrier will be built by Murakami Hide Shipbuilding in Japan.

The Isle of Man Ship Registry has become the first flag state to join the Getting to Zero Coalition, an industry-led alliance working towards decarbonising the international maritime shipping sector.

After sustaining damage to its hull, a livestock carrier has been successfully brought into the Port of Geraldton, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said.
The ship in question is MV Barkly Pearl and flies the Mashall Islands flag.
The 1993-built ship arrived in Australian waters from Indonesia, data from MarineTraffic shows. It had no livestock onboard, local media reported.
