Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP), a Danish-Swedish joint venture port operator, revealed it would join the application for the EU funding for CO2 capture project on Amager Bakke.
A facility for the capture of CO2 is expected to reduce emissions from Amager Resource Center (ARC) by 500,000 tonnes of CO2 annually and can thus significantly contribute to Copenhagen’s goal of becoming the world’s first capital in the world to become carbon-neutral by 2025. ... [Read More]

Maritime innovation project HySHIP has been granted €8 million (about $9.4 million) in EU funding as the Norwegian government announces a strengthened focus on the development and commercialization of hydrogen as a carbon-neutral fuel.

The installation of the MAATS cable lay equipment onboard the cable-laying vessel (CLV) Nexans Aurora has commenced.
On 14 October, MAATS and Marine Fabricators installation team arrived at the Ulstein Verft shipyard to begin the installation, which kicked off with the two lay wheels being fitted at the stern.

Swedish Port of Kapellskär, together with Finnish Port of Naantali, has been granted EU funding to reduce, among other things, air pollutant emissions from shipping.
The funding is also said to augment the investments made by Ports of Stockholm to meet service demands of customers and future needs.
