CARRABELLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research vessel 60 miles southeast of Carrabelle, Wednesday. Watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Alabama, received a call at 6:20 p.m. from the master of the NOAA research vessel, Caretta, stating that a crewmember was in need of emergency medical attention.
