CHARLESTON, S.C. — Coast Guard search crews located an overturned, unmanned boat belonging to two missing fishermen, Thursday, approximately 10 miles east of Bulls Bay, S.C.
Still missing are Joseph McFadden, 77 years old, and Michael Lawrence, 61 years old.

HONOLULU — The public is advised to prepare for the onset of upcoming heavy weather expected to generate extreme sea conditions and high surf throughout the state as Tropical Storm Ela passes north of the Main Hawaiian Islands.
Mariners and beachgoers should monitor the progress and strength of the storm through newspapers, the internet, local television and radio stations. MIAMI — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Raymond Evans repatriated 15 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Thursday.

CARRABELLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard medevaced a crewmember from a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration research vessel 60 miles southeast of Carrabelle, Wednesday.
Watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Mobile, Alabama, received a call at 6:20 p.m. from the master of the NOAA research vessel, Caretta, stating that a crewmember was in need of emergency medical attention. A flight surgeon was contacted and recommended the man be medevaced.... [Read More]

BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard responded to a boat taking on water Wednesday near the mouth of the Big Annemessex River.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Baltimore received a report from a crewmember aboard a 23-foot boat via VHF-FM marine radio channel 16 at approximately 3 p.m. stating the boat he was on was taking on water.

Boaters can expect no wake zones, interruptions and closures to maritime traffic.
