SEATTLE — A Coast Guard helicopter crew transferred two men to Neah Bay after they were injured in an apparent collision between their disabled recreational boat and a responding Coast Guard vessel 30 miles west of La Push, Thursday.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Port Angeles safely transported them to emergency medical personnel in Neah Bay and a Washington State Fish and Wildlife boatcrew took the remaining five boaters aboard and towed the disabled recreational vessel to La Push.... [Read More]

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Coast Guard Sector Anchorage, Alaska, is scheduled to host a telephone conference to share information and solicit comments about proposed gold dredge vessel examinations May 20.
The teleconference is open to the public and will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The proposed examinations will allow the Coast Guard to regulate the gold dredge fleet using national commercial vessel standards in Nome, Alaska. Enforcement of the examinations is scheduled begin June 1. ... [Read More]

The Boating Safety Mobile app was not designed to replace a boater's marine VHF radio, which the Coast Guard strongly recommends all boaters have onboard their vessels. The app is mainly designed to provide additional boating safety resources for mobile device users.

BALTIMORE — The Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary and Maryland Natural Resource Police are scheduled to kick off National Safe Boating Week at the West Ocean City Boat Ramp Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat from Coast Guard Station Ocean City will be available for public tours.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station Ponce de Leon Inlet rescued a diver Wednesday approximately 25 miles east of Ponce de Leon Inlet.
The diver, a 50-year-old man from Florida, was reported to be in good condition and with no injuries.
