NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries and Grand Isle Fire Department is searching for a 16-year old boy who went missing in the vicinity of Grand Isle State Park, Monday.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans were notified at approximately 2:15 p.m. Sunday that the teenager was missing. The boy was last seen swimming from the rock jetty to the first piling at Grand Isle State Park.

NEW YORK – The Coast Guard rescued a recreational boater in distress near Sandy Hook, New Jersey, Sunday.
At approximately 11:37 p.m., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New York command center in Staten Island, New York, received a report from the Middletown Police Department, that a two-person recreational craft with one person aboard had not returned to Ideal Beach in Middletown, New Jersey.

Matt Fuller requested Coast Guard assistance down from the vessel's anchor chain at approximately 4:30 a.m. and was taken to Coast Guard Station Bellingham.

SEATTLE — Coast Guard incident management crews are monitoring a sunken fishing vessel for pollution and hazard to navigation concerns in the Ilwaco Channel near Ilwaco, Wash., Saturday.
There is a potential of 500 gallons of diesel fuel aboard the vessel.

NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard continues to monitor a platform near Breton island after an on board fire was suppressed Saturday. At approximately 6 a.m. responding crews boarded the platform and extinguished the flame. Clean up and repair operations have commenced.
The previously reported rainbow sheen is reported to be dissipating and moving away from the Breton Island Wildlife Refuge.
Spill response equipment and personnel, including boom and skimmers, are on scene as a precaution to help protect the Breton National Wildlife Refuge.... [Read More]

ALAMEDA, Calif. — U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Protection crews disrupted an apparent drug smuggling operation approximately 30 miles west of San Simeon earlier this week.
A suspicious panga-type vessel was spotted by the aircrew of a CBP Office of Air and Marine Multi-role Enforcement Aircraft (MEA) on routine patrol in the area Tuesday night.
